For my first experience on you tube I was inspired, disgusted, amused, and scared out by everything that is on there. For this you tube video I wanted to know why a grown man is proud of having such a creepy house that everyone calls the museum of the odd? When I watched the video scan through the house it made me think of I-Spy books. His whole house is one big I-Spy game. Every I-Spy book has creepy old stuff and this house fit that description to a tee. The second thing that popped into my mind was the island of misfit toys. Charlie’s house must be a place where all of those broken or odd toys that no one wanted to play with go. I wasn’t even there in person and I was creeped out.
I could never sleep in that house for I would be afraid of something coming to life. There are lots of movies about killers keeping their victims toys and material objects due to mental illness and his house looked like a killer’s who was obsessed with creepy toys. After thinking about all the weird toys my mind switches to Charlie and I wonder why he keeps all of this junk, in my opinion. How much money and time has he spent trying to collect all of this? Is his effort really worth anything? My conclusion is that he has a lot of time on his hands and likes to see the progressive change in the world through toys. I am still convinced that might be a little crazy but I’m sure he has a lot of stories to tell. No one will ever be sure as to why someone does something until they dig but to find out the story behind this guy and his collection is something I will not go out of the way to find.
